Screen On The Green! Nerves&Anticipation!

Get your popcorn ready because this coming Tuesday (10th December) all of the media students in A2 will be heading down to the Screen On The Green to watch ALL of the music videos created by this years A2 students!

I am super excited to see everyone else's video's and i think it's going to be fun watching all the other ones since i haven't seen any of the rough cuts! (I wanted to keep the video's a surprise for myself so that when they are seen on the big screen i can really appriciate them).

However when it comes to my group's video it seems as if most of the media students have already seen it :(
This is a little upsetting because it means our video wont be much of a surprise for the people that come to the cinema however maybe when it is up on the big screen it will look a lot clearer and not something boring for anyone who has already watched it. And it's also quite nerve racking knowing so many people have already watched it because people will be judging the video and me on a smaller screen so it might make them think that the video isn't all that great or something.

I've been told from a few people that they have also been showing their parents the music video, so my face has been seen by millions! ;)

I've had some good early feedback on my performance in the video and that makes me happy because obviously i want to look convincing and 'like a pop star' because that was something i was quite nervous about, not knowing whether or not i had done a good job at giving the right amount of attitude here and the right dance moves there plus i don't want to let my group down so it's a relief that most people enjoyed the video!!

Research - Overview Of Past Ancillary Work...

In today's lesson we saw some really good ancillary work and some not so good ancillary work and i think that really helped me to understand what i need to do to not mess up my ancillary work.

I really enjoyed looking at past student work because i think it definitely has inspired me to do the best digipack that i can!

Here's my overview of a past students ancillary work :)

Research - Template Testing

Today (6th December) during my media lesson i had to transform a badly designed digipack and make one for myself by sticking with the DO'S with out doing any of the DON'TS when making an ancillary product.

We had a choice of a few very badly pixelated images and we had to use them and then pick from a selection of bar codes and music labels that our artist could be signed to.

Here is what i came up with within an hour:
(Front&Back)
As you can see the image was extremely pixelated and this obviously made the digipack a little less attractive to the eye however i made sure that i added all the important information such as the bar code, copyright information and record label logo.

 (Inside)
I kept the color scheme the same inside the digipack and i also repeated the pattern of the cameras faded out so that the inside of the didgpack links together nicely with the outside of the digipack.
The left hand side of the inside of the digipack i kept plain however if i had had more time i think i would of added some sort of picture of a little bit of writing so that it didn't look like such an empty space.I also included the CD holder on the right side of the digipack so that there is a place for the CD to be placed.

Reflection on My Progress... Part III

So here we go, reflection in the video form, of the production and post-production stages! Enjoy!

Helpin' Out a Little More...

So here I is again, helping out another group w/ their music video because I am nice (and I had spare time, and they are also doing a music video for an AlunaGeorge song like us)

Here is the blog I appeared in!
