Advertisement Finished

Today I finished my album advertisement after quite a short but thoughtful process. The digital creation of it didn't take as long as I expected as I spent a few hours on it, thinking I was going to take much longer. The thing I found the most difficult was putting the right information on there and avoiding cramming too much unnecessary information on there. I kept it very relevant to my digipak in a sense that the colour scheme, fonts and pictures are the same. So here's my finished advertisement...

Production - Making The Advertisement (Update 2)

This is my advertisement so far, it's almost finished but there are a few things i need to correct beforehand.

I am trying to add a shadow behind the digipak front cover that i have pasted onto the poster, this is because i want the digipak front cover to stand out considering that the poster is based around the release of the artists new album.

I found it difficult to get he colours right because i wanted to originally use all white font however i soon realised that that wouldn't work because the light at the top of the poster made the artist name and album title difficult to see. I then tried all black font however i noticed that the dark colours at the bottom of the poster made the black font difficult to see so in the end i decided to use black and white font combined.

Evaluation Question 4

For the fourth and final evaluation question:

"What have you learned from your audience feedback?"

I developed an interactive documentary on youtube in which you can click through to watch and view opinions, reactions and my take on audience feedback. Start here:

TO BEGIN

-->> CLICK THROUGH THE VIDEOS ->>
(Pitch > Rough Cut > Premiere > Ancillary)

Evaluation Question 3

For the third evaluation question:

"How did you use media technologies in the construction, research, planning and evaluation stages?"

I put created a website to clearly demonstrate how useful I found technologies to be when developing my media products, please click the link below.

Evaluation Question 2

For the second evaluation question:

"How effective is the combination of your main product (Music Video) and ancillary texts (digipack and advertisements)?"

I put together a two-part answer. Please press play on the sound cloud file and click next on the slideshow when prompted.

Evaluation Question 1

For the first evaluation question:

"In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?"

I put together an e-publication summing up the ideas behind the music video and my ancillary, and how it relates to forms and conventions within its genre as a pop music video.

Production - Making The Advertisement (Update 1)

so tomorrow (the 10th) is the deadline for my digipak and advertisement. I am sure i will get it done in time as i am pretty happy with my digipak so i don't think i will be making any extreme changes on it, however i am yet to finish my advertisement! But i have been doing it since Wednesday (the 8th) and this is how it is looking since wednesday:

even though the layout, text etc looks the same i have been playing around with the colour's as i don't want them to be too bright however i don't want them to be dull either. I need to find a good balance between the colour of the poster and the colour of the text because at the moment my text is white and i am having slight difficulties trying to make it easy to see against the lighter part of the background that it has been placed on. Today i am going to see if i can re arrange the text in anyway so that its easy to see but also in a good position (e.g i don't want the artist name and the album title to be too close to the bottom of the page otherwise it might not catch the eye as easily because it won't be in direct eye line vision.
