Production- Progress review blog

Reflection of progress...

This is just a reflection on my progress so far. I feel as though my individual blogging before wasn't really up to scratch due to a number of reasons, such as my detail and using a wide range of media in order to present it better.

Since I last evaluated my blogging I feel as though I've improved this by introducing new media formats and improving my level of detail when reflecting on what I've done.

I think due to this slight increase I'd now raise my mark to 15/20.

History of the music video!

Might be a bit late, but I thought I'd do a little blog about the history of the music video to give this project a bit of relevance.

Reflecting on our filming...

Skills Development

my one skill that i need to develop on would be to use a wider range of media techniques in order to make my work more interesting and enjoyable to look at.

The Pains of Animation… Why?

Editing Final Touches PART II

So after our rough cut we had some final touches to add onto our video to give it that final pop art and youthful feel! The process is long and tedious but has great results! The effect is a sort of light strobe line that goes over the original image, this is the tutorial we used to help us;

And here is our process:

Editing Final Touches PART I

THE FILTERING PROCESS

ADDING STRIP BARS/LETTER BOXES

ADDING A STYLISTIC EDIT

In her lates music video, Britney Spears uses the strip bars in a clever and unique way by widening them as something happens within the song, we used this technique when the musical break kicks in for our song. We feel its a good stylistic technique to follow from because Britney is a pop star (much like our song is in the pop genre) and she has a very high production value glossy video (which is the kind of effect we want to give off with our video).
